Initiated by the top management and directed by the Corporate Marketing Department, the new project Wheelabrator Allevard Stone Institute is launched so as to group in one place all the Wheelabrator Allevard expertise and know-how in stone cutting process.
Located in Pognano, Italy, the Stone Institute addresses an international population looking for information on stone market and technologies, aiming to optimize cutting process, for costs as well as productivity improvement.
Benefiting from Wheelabrator Allevard’s competitive advantages, based on knowledge and relationships of the group, the Stone Institute is able to provide its customers with consistent and objective advice, meeting all their economic and technical needs for both cutting technologies (gangsaw and multiwire).

OBJECTIVES
• To provide the customers with useful information for cutting costs optimization and productivity improvement, notably through the exclusive WA Stone Cutting Simulator tool.
• To enable the customers to better understand stone market dynamics and anticipate major trends.
• To provide technical trainings and objective advice, helping the customers to select the best technological solution (Gangsaw or Multiwire) according to their needs.
PROGRAMS
• From November 2008 onwards, a 3 modules « manager » program will be available:
- Stone market dynamics and construction market evolution
- Cutting technologies overview
- WA Stone Cutting Simulator.
• April 2009: a « custom made » manager program adapted to specific requirements will be available. In addition to the 3 first modules, technical training for cutting technologies will be provided, for a total of 4 modules and 13 trainings.
