Our loyal customer Beltramo, located in the province of Cuneo near Turin in Italy, is celebrating 10 years of processing with the large granite-cutting gangsaw machine.The story started before 2003 and at that time, Beltramo F.lli was using two small machines to process local material known as “Pietra di Luserna”, a hard gneiss.
In October 2003, they began using a new gangsaw unit with our Futura 25 grit in order to increase production. Then, thanks to their collaboration and continued technical assistance and development, for example with Granitium, a COSMOS unit was finally installed in October 2011.
The customer is delighted with this technology, because COSMOS allows them to optimise slab production, increasing output by 4-6%. The equipment is easy to use and environment-friendly at the same time.
The dynamic owners, Mauro Camusso and his wife, recently diversified their activity by planting fields and growing grapes. Once a hobby, this is now set to become a promising start-up.
Both these noble trades – stone cutting and wine production – are typical of northern Italy’s traditional activities.
